Internet love
Have you ever met someone off the network and fell for them? You talk to each other daily, getting to know them, webcam, Skype, MSN, call each other and have deep meaningful conversations. As time goes by you start to fall for them and hoping that someday you’ll be able to meet them in reality. You feel that they’re one of the most people in your life and wished to be with them but you know that it could possibly not happen. Distance can sometimes be such a cock block.
I remember when I once fell for this guy, he was two states away from me. We would do everything on webcam together, nothing sexually, but seeing his face could brighten my whole day, watching him eat his noodles and sometimes I would do the same for him, there was nothing to be embarrass about, I was confident around him, we never had thoughts of having sex together or anything, which was a good thing. He would send me love notes back in the days when we had this social-network called ‘Bebo’ and my friends at school would be asking me who’s this guy is. Every night he would make the effort to call me and text me just to make sure I’m OK and that I go to bed early. He calls me in the day time just to make sure I’m safe and he would often let me know where he is just so I know he wasn’t cheating or anything. I know that he was a safe person to talk to because just by looking at his friends, comments, photos and talking to him proved that he was legit.
Dating online may not be safe, but not until you actually get to know them and that you’re certain they’re not a stalker.
